Monterey Rural Press Sells For Victorian Bushfire Appeal

Congratulations and thanks go to new Murray Grey breeders Richard and Cathy Koral of the Glen Bold Stud in South Australia for their generous support in purchasing Monterey Rural Press for $5500. The entire proceeds will go to the Salvation Army's Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

Richard states,"I couldn't think of any better way to start a stud. Rod Gregurke has been instrumental in setting me up together with Geoff Perry of Fairview Ridge at Hahndorf. With Rod's cows as the foundation, some pregnant to Tarlina Coomunga while the rest currently dropping calves by Monterey Talent Scout, I'm excited about the genetics I've been gifted with."
Rural Press is a smooth shouldered, wide butted son of successful sire Monterey Egyptian, and has excellent EBV’s, being a Junior Trait leader and in the top 1-5pc of the breed for 200, 400, and 600-day growth, carcase weight, EMA, and all $Indexes.
His dam has consistently produced high performance progeny, and is from the same female (GJB Q42) as Monterey Steamroller.
He has the style, performance, conformation and muscling to make a top sire.
